Realising the importance of transparency today, we have made a special page and this journal post for our customers to know where our products come from, how they are created, made and produced and how we operate.
After endlessly looking and conducting extensive research of sustainable garment we have finally partnered with Belgium based company producing apparel in South Asia strictly respecting the rights of the men and women that they employ. It means giving them the means to acquire new skills and to receive education and training. Their factories are GOTS-certified and audited by the Fair Wear Foundation which our T-shirt making company is recognised member.
We favour organic or recycled materials that care for your skin and the environment. The Belgian based apparel production chain benefits from the strictest environmental certifications and labels in the market.
We use Prague based, small business screen print company. Our guy Martin uses only eco print which we are very proud and happy about. It's uncompromising in quality and the printed motifs on our tees are long lasting. Martins says up to 150 washes.
We're always searching for ethical jewellery makers that dedicate themselves to the trade. We believe that thoughtful sourcing, fair wages, and give-back initiatives truly have an impact. Whether it’s a thoughtful addition to your wardrobe, or a sustainable gift for our loved ones, jewellery is an accessory that we can (and do) cherish for a lifetime.Up to date we have collaborated with ethical jewellery maker based in New South Walles, Australia. The local contractor Billy Claire (originally from New Zealand) operates in her own small studio powered by solar panel and use recycled silver. Some of our newest silver pieces were made in Bali by the local artisans as family run business. We collaborate with Lemon Soda Studio, that helps to secure and keep jobs for the local artisans during difficult times effected by the pandemic. It has been very rewarding creating our latest jewellery pieces all while providing better-than-fair wages and helping to improve lifestyle conditions for the artisans and their families. Some of our bead pieces are hand made in Czech Republic. Please see product descriptions.
RESIN HAIR CLIPS
Resin hair accessories are huge trend coming from Japan and Korea already for few seasons counting. Our suppliers, Korean based trade manufacture where we have some of our hair clips responsibly made. Stay assured that our pieces are NOT purchased from low cost and Chinese based shopping websites where many copies are cheaply produced and offered. We would not want to compromise on the responsibly made quality products and that is also projected in our prices. We source from and deal with factories directly and select our own suppliers based on their certificates and reliability.
OUR ECO FRIENDLY HAIR CLIPS
Those are designed, made in Europe (France and Italy). They are made from Italian imported plant based (Acetate cellulose) biodegradable material. YEY! We plan to expand our collections of those pieces as we are strong believers in Eco friendly accessories, however the production is a long and costly process for a small brand such as ours so please be patient with us.
*GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard label. The strictest certification for textiles made from organic fibres. GOTS tracks the entire chain of production from farm to factory: from harvesting of the cotton, weaving of fibres, assembly of items, to the final product before printing, including even the export of our clothing! It certifies that Stanley/Stella cotton is GMO-free and is grown without the use of chemicals and is processed and dyed without using any banned toxic substances.GOTS also ensures compliance with the labour standards of the International Labour Organisation throughout the chain of production.
